Gynecological or pelvic prolapse occurs when one or more of the pelvic organs, including the uterus (womb), colon, or bladder, falls down into the vagina. Symptoms include discomfort or heaviness in the lower side of the abdomen and urination problems. Pelvic prolapse is considered to be one of the most prevalent disorders in women. Although not life-threatening, it does cause significant discomfort.
