A 34 yrs old young man developed the swelling with multiple sinuses discharging pus off and on since last 8 months.The swelling over left foot is gradually increasing in size. The number of sinuses also increase during this period. He lives in the western part of Kenya (Kakuma). He was given antifungals & antibiotics on several occasions at a nearby mission hospital. But the swelling is gradually progressive and affecting the plantar aspect of the left foot and extending to dorsum also.
CT Scan left foot s/o soft tissue mass in plantar aspect of left foot extending between first & 2nd toe and infiltrating subcutaneous tissue fat and skin most likely malignant mass . D/D Plantar soft tissue infection. Biopsy for the mass already sent & awaiting for result. Other lab results: TLC - 8.0;Hb - 15.5g/dl.ESR - 15 MM/HR. RFT & LFT are within normal limits; HIV Screening is non-reactive.…
