Telemedicine and telehealth services have been established and improved worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic when traveling was restricted, and hospitals mainly treated COVID-19 patients. The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched a โ receiving facility โ that uses telehealth services to help remote and rural patients to access healthcare services. To provide an effective clinical service anywhere in the country, the ministry also established guidelines for physicians and the administration of referring and receiving facilities.
