One wonders was the creation of word DOCTOR a work of thoughtfulness. To me doctor word comprises of letters pertaining to all kinds of duties which are performed by a doctor: D =Diagnosis O =Organisation (Administration) C =Clinic (Treatment using drugs) T =Teaching O =Operation (Surgery) R =Research Please suggest anyother role than this which is played by a doctor. Though all doctors do all kinds of duties at some or other time of their career, however, majority of times in their career they choose to perform one or two roles out of the above.
Some people say to be a teacher is more gratifying, some say to be a diagnostician is more satisfying, some give importance to administration. You views are invited : that why you have chosen a particular role and while performing a particular kind of role what were your expectations, disappointments, gratifications .
