Vitamin E deficiency can cause muscle dysfunction and a spectrum of neurological manifestations due to the lack of antioxidant protection. Vitamin E exerts neuroprotection along with its antioxidant effects. Hence, it has also been utilized as a prophylactic in managing some neurological conditions.
