We during our internship days used to learn many things like writing a prescription, and various laboratory procedures, but today to clear the PG entrance exam is the priority, as a result our young medical graduates are unable to write a simple prescription even for common diseases and incompetent in doing easy things like passing a Foley's catheter or a Ryle's tube. How to improve this horrible state?

If they don't succeed in PG entrance they are incompetent to start a good general practice and win their bread and butter.
