There has been a growing trend among doctors, kind of unanimous uproar, over supposed scapegoating of doctors. Whenever media does a negative coverage of a colleague the whole fraternity comes together and starts voicing concerns that medical field is being targeted injudiciously. I am not saying that all these cases are justified. But there is a whole setup which has turned the populace against the doctors.
The public didn't just decide to smear the name of profession in a single day. It was a process that is a result of decades of malpractice. They have and in most of the cases still are bearing the consequences of negligence committed by our brethren.
