We are now having plenty of charitable institutions and NGOs offering medical services in a city. Any diagnostic center will put a board of XYZ trust and opens a center. I don't think they serve any purpose. In major cities, lots of medical facilities including major government hospitals and clinics are operating. Again supported by civic bodies who also have their own clinics. The patient can choose where to go and for needy and poor patients options are plenty.
By opening one more clinic doesn't make any sense. Most of the time it is seen that the rich"poor" patient is using such facilities and these organizations claim to do social service. If in a real sense they want to serve the society they should go to places where there are fewer health facilities and the real need to service.
