There has been a recent deplorable spurt of cases of violence against doctors, paramedics and hospitals by disgruntled upset relatives. Such acts are unacceptable and absolutely condemnable. A profession that puts itself at the forefront of selfless-comprehensive service of those in pain, is today being humiliated, physically hurt and maligned by the same society that the profession is serving.
