The characteristics of varus deformity include proximal tibial deformity, medial joint line narrowing, flexion, and medial soft tissue contracture with lateral soft tissue elongation. In addition, varus arthritic knee is characterized by bone and soft tissue deformity. TKA is known to provide good clinical outcomes in varus deformity. However, preoperative planning, including clinical and radiological planning, is essential to achieve good results.
