As the globe observes World Trauma Day on October 17, death due to trauma will be leading cause of death all over the world surpassing all other causes of mortality. Every year around 400,000 young lives get lost due to road accidents in India. The deaths and disabilities can be prevented if proper training is imparted to the physicians on handling the emergency care in accidental cases. The numbers are scary According to National Crime Report Bureau, 1,41,526 young lives were lost in road crashes in India in 2014 with a total of 4,31,556 deaths due to accidental causes including Natural disaster.
