A 29 years old female patient (weight 150 kg) has TSH more than 15 (normal T3 and T4) even with levothyroxine sodium 150mcg. She is diabetic and hypertensive and taking glimepiride 2mg, metformin 1000 mg, olmesartan-CT and atorvastatin 20 mg. She is frequently having pedal edema and facial puffiness.

Is it safe to prescribe levothyroxine sodium 200mg in this case? How can we reduce such higher TSH levels?
