The most recent guidelines on the duration of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) after the percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug‐eluting stents (DESs) have come up with modified recommendations. This includes the continuation of DAPT for at least 12 months after acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and at least 6 months after revascularization in case of stable ischemic heart disease.
