The US FDA has approved aceclidine ophthalmic solution 1.44%, the first and only FDA-approved aceclidine-based eye drop for the treatment of presbyopia in adults. It is a preservative-free solution. Clinical evidence In a clinical trial involving 466 patients aged 45 to 75 years, aceclidine met all primary and secondary endpoints, improving near vision within 30 minutes and lasting up to 10 hours.
