In my recent clinical practice in a remote area in South Rajasthan, I have encountered two patients with P Vivax malaria with complications: one a 12-year-old child with abnormal behaviour, and another 40-year-old man with pulmonary edema. One would have thought that these complications present only in falciparum malaria.
