A 24-year-old man consulted a general physician persistently for three days. On the first day he was feeling slightly uneasy and unstable but by the third day he was feverish with intense cold, headache and shivering. He also had complaints of nausea and sweaty feeling. History The patient had a history of hepatitis and glandular fever. He recently did not receive any other medication except for malaria.
Social history He was a chain smoker and denied intravenous drug addiction. Examination On examination, the patient was having a pulse rate of 94/min, blood pressure of 118/72mmHg without any heart murmurs and abnormalities in the respiratory system. Examination of the abdomen revealed the slight tenderness in the left upper quadrant. There was no enlargement of lymph nodes.
