I was not at all interested in joining MBBS after my 12th. Mostly because my mother forced me at that tender age, while I was dreaming of becoming a computer engineer once I got the entrance exam. Anyway, fate had something different in store for me, in that case for many. What was the motive for sending me for this profession, might be the greedy human nature or social recognition.
I am pretty sure nothing beyond that because no family members were into this puzzle of social service. If social service is your passion you can do it with so many other better choices (you can disagree).
