Publication in a reputed journal is the best possible result of medical research. Medical research can lead to inventions, improvements and modifications with regard to health care. If one publishes others research work as his/her own or without proper acknowledgement of others work (known as plagiarism), it becomes the unjustifiable and undeserving cause of gain if any.
Even before Medical Council of India (MCI) made it mandatory for teaching medical faculty to publish a certain number of original articles as a first or second author for getting a promotion to the higher level in medical colleges.
