Staff nurses whose primary job is to provide a good nursing care to patients are strong bonds between a doctor and a patient. As per news item, three nurses of a government hospital are found indulging in malpractice of selling medicines in private rooms, wards and operation theatre procuring from outside hospital at a higher rate than that available in shops of the hospital. The mode of operandi was through sending prescription outside through Social App.
My query: Will this malpractice by the nurse or paramedical staff influence image of doctors in public and how to curb this practice? Kindly share.
