Sitting in my OPD, I am thinking since morning about the enthusiasm and joy we all kids used to have in Dusherra, and the climate of festive season. There is a reason for thinking same. I work in a corporate set up, which does not believe in institute with holidays and here festivals come after work. Again, I am unaware of situation of my colleagues present here, who are having their own setup and still working on a holiday.
T he question coming to my mind is, where has the charm and innocence of festive season gone? Are we really that busy, or we need to work on holidays for attendance, or it is that my social duty of being a doctor calling me to work on holidays, or it is else? I have friends who all have different reasons for working on holidays: Working today so that I can accumulate my leaves to go home at some other holidays?-- but what about this festival today ?? its gone…
