Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, with 20 million new cases reported in 2022. Although advances in screening methods and treatments have improved survival rates, cancer patients continue to face challenges, including psychological stress and the debilitating side effects of treatment. To address these challenges, this year’s World Cancer Day campaign on February 4, 2025, highlights the unique needs of each cancer patient and promotes people-centered care. With the theme "United by Unique," the campaign calls on patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, researchers, and communities to raise awareness about the importance of patient-centered care.
