Skin diseases affect around one-third of the global population and are the fourth most common cause of all human diseases. The burden of skin diseases includes their high prevalence, associated morbidity, and high treatment costs that can be a significant threat to the healthcare system and adversely affect the quality of life of people. World Skin Health Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize skin diseases and promote skin health.
