In private medical colleges it is a known fact most of the time the cases seen by students are abysmal. They are given theoretical training and practical training is very much wanting. Even the foreign trained doctors are also in the same boat. I have a methodology which I have developed 15 years ago and communicated with lot of medical colleges with no response.
Overall the cases which should be thoroughly known in medicine related to general practice is around 100. Say, hypothyroidism, Enteric fever, UTI AMI,PT like that.If the students in their final year or during house surgency are given training for one week to ten days, they will be in a better position to do justice for their selection of the profession.This will help them morally and also make them aspire for more knowledge.The patients whom they are going to treat will get better diagnosis and treatment.
