Adolescents with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis experience chronic pruritus, skin barrier disruption, and sleep disturbances requiring durable systemic control. In a multicenter double-blind placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial published in the British Journal of Dermatology, 180 adolescents aged 12–17 years were randomized 2:1 to subcutaneous stapokibart (an anti-IL-4Rα monoclonal antibody) or placebo every two weeks. At week 16, a significantly higher proportion of patients receiving stapokibart achieved EASI-75 clearance and Investigator’s Global Assessment scores of 0/1 with a ≥2-point improvement compared with placebo.

Overall adverse event incidence was comparable between groups (62.5% stapokibart vs 61.7% placebo), with no cases of conjunctivitis reported in the adolescent cohort. These data demonstrate that stapokibart provides robust clinical clearance and symptom relief with…
