Medical services may be hit as resident doctors working in various state and centre-run hospitals in Delhi are going on a strike from June 22. Doctors from the Central Delhi and Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD) hospitals will be joining the strike. The doctor’s have called the strike claiming government has failed to take steps towards their demands like security at workplace, adequate life-saving and generic drugs, drinking water and salary on time.

The doctors, under the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) umbrella, had earlier written to the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, requesting him to urgently look into the matter and take remedial measures.
