Dear Doctors, Greetings of the Day! So far I have observed and practicing IM injections at Gluteus Maximus muscle in the buttocks. Most of the Indian practice doctors or nurses used to do mild to moderate massage at the injection site aft the injection. But after I left India I haven't observed anything like this in modern day practice in Singapore, Malaysia,Canada,Maldives. My Question is 'Does it really required to do a Massage after IM injection or Vaccination?' Anywhere in the books officially do they mentioned it? Which is correct?

Doing Massage or not? Australian Board says Pressure at the site for 2 or 3 minutes to reduce the bleeding from the injection site. Finally, which one is correct? I guess we do not require hypothetical answers or self-supporting answers. need a real answer. Thank you.
