6 months after SARS-CoV-2 reached Indian shores, initial optimism that the virus will disappear within 15 days after lockdown, has evaporated. Instead, it seems that the virus has become endemic. Over months, most physicians and hospitals have started consulting, treating non-COVID emergencies, semi-emergencies, and even elective patients.

Though the initial fear or hype related to COVID-19 has reduced to a great extent due to the re-assuring tone adopted through media, medico-professionals must continue to undertake/prescribe scientifically accepted precautions.
