A 5-year-old boy was brought to the hospital by his mother seeking advice for a gash junior which had sustained on his shoulder a few days earlier. The boy had the wound after falling from a tree in a field. There had been some soil in the wound, and even after his mother cleaned the area and applied an antiseptic cream, the skin around the area lacked vitality. A tetanus infection is suspected.
