Yesterday a 7-month old child was shown to a pediatrician who prescribed him one antibiotic injection and gave 2 respules of salbutamol/ipratropium bromide for nebulization. Unfortunately, the child's parents went to a quack locally for injection. The quack dissolved antibiotic with 2 respules of salbutamol/ipratropium Bromide and injected. The patient was very irritable and hyperthermic with erythema over the body. I wanted to prescribe plenty of fluids, paracetamol, syp ranitidine and sedatives such as triclofos.

But parents insisted for admission with a guarantee. I opted to refer to tertiary hospital. Kindly guide what else could be done at 12 midnight.
