PMH- BPH, alcoholic hepatitis, lumber strain Physical examination- normal genitalia, a prostate is 4 cm in breadth, smooth and non- tender with no nodules and Distended bladder which is palpable half way up to the umbilicus. Emergency treatment provided- The doctor inserted a Foley catheter and drained 700cc of clear yellow urine.
