A 30-year-old deaf male was presented to the Emergency Department after his mother reported that he was behaving oddly and not taking his medication. As per reports, the patient was talking to his mother about going places in a UFO and exhibited disorganized and illogical behaviors . According to the interpreter, the patient stated that he felt “fine and not crazy” and that all of these events are happening because his mother does not understand “Deaf culture.” He also conveyed that he did not like to take his medicines because he was not able to drink alcohol felt drowsy. Written Responses As an effort to communicate, questions were prepared for the patient to answer via written responses.
