Mr. Mohan presented to the hospital with serious respiratory complexities. Dr. Gupta had to insert a tube in his lungs to aid breathing; however, she failed to achieve optimum positioning of the tube. Mr.
Mohan died as a result of oxygen being pumped into his stomach instead of his lungs. Family members of the patient filed a case against Dr. Gupta. During interrogation, Dr. Gupta mentioned that “the death was unintentional.” However, this negligence cannot be ignored.
