A 35 year old woman presents with sudden onset pain in the heel joint following running. On examination there was tenderness at plantar aspect and an X-ray reveals fracture of calcaneal spur. The patient was advised NSAIDs and a below knee cast. But due to discomfort, the patient removes the cast on her own and does not follow up. 7 months later a repeat X-ray was taken. Currently the patient experiences no pain and is able to perform all weight bearing activities. The repeat X-ray is shown.
