A 73-year-old male diagnosed with bilateral direct inguinal hernia underwent a transabdominal preperitoneal repair (TAPP) using a polypropylene mesh. The intra-operative findings include the following: ·         Mesh was fixed to the lateral border of the rectus abdominis muscle, transverse abdominis fascia, Cooper’s ligament, and pubic tuberosity using an absorbable fixation device. ·         The urinary bladder was not exposed, and the mesh was not in direct contact with it.

·         The peritoneum was closed using a 3-D absorbable braid thread. ·         No notable complications were observed during closure, and the post-operative course was uneventful.
