Case presentation A 26-year old female was referred by her orthognathic surgeon for orthodontic treatment and oral rehabilitation as she did not like her face, gummy smile, and crowded teeth. The patient desired aligned teeth, a rounder face, and a less pronounced chin. Physical manifestation of the patient Class II malocclusion on a Class III skeletal base with a prognathic mandible Increased facial proportions Facial asymmetry Intraoral manifestation of the patient The patient had localized crowding in the upper and lower arches. She had a 9 mm deep bite anterior and bilateral scissors bite with functional disturbances was observed. She also had occlusal trauma.
