Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a serious and life-threatening disease after stem cell transplantation. One recent trial tested abatacept in patients who developed GvHD from hematopoietic stem cells transplantation. It was found that the addition of Abatacept along with standard GvHD treatment reduced the occurrence of acute grade III-IV GVHD from 32 to 3%.
