Intra-abdominal hypertension (IAH) and abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS) are critical conditions with high mortality rates, requiring early detection for effective management. IAH causes decreased venous flow, renal impairment, decreased respiratory compliance, and low cardiac output, ultimately leading to ACS. ACS can be diagnosed with intravesical pressure measurement. Alternatively, computed tomography can be considered when pressure measurements are challenging.
