Recently came across trophozoites of Trichomonas vaginalis (20-25/hpf) while looking for pus cells in a urine sample which was actually received for bacterial culture. There was no bacterial growth. It was a female patient's sample, age, and history unknown.

Should the finding be reported in a written form as a special note?
