Acute Kidney Injury aka AKI is a common problem, with serious short-term and long-term consequences. The diagnosis of AKI is frequently delayed. In the current scenario potentially effective preventive and therapeutic measures are available, but the diagnosis is frequently delayed due to lack of early predictive biomarkers.
