With the view to meet the shortage of doctors in the country, government has sated that all the medical colleges have to start PG course by 2020-21. This move would add around 10,000 PG seats over the next 4 years. The government has stated that colleges who fail to do so shall lose their recognition. These regulations apply to both private and government medical colleges.
