An alleged wrong-site surgery involving a four-year-old child at a government hospital in Haryana's Nuh district has sparked calls for an investigation after the family claimed the procedure was initially performed on the child's healthy leg instead of the infected one. According to the family's complaint, the child was brought to the hospital on July 20 with swelling, infection, and pus in the left leg. After clinical evaluation, imaging was advised, and the patient was referred to the Orthopedics Department for further management. Based on the imaging findings, the child was admitted for surgery on July 23.
