We are all worried about contrast-induced nephropathy in patients with impaired RFT to do a contrast Scan. Some centers use to hydrate patient with normal (0.9%) saline if RFT is impaired, though it's contraindicated if GFR is below 30 ml/ minute/1.73m 2 . But above 30 ml GFR, the amacing study showed no advantage of hydration to prevent AKI after 2 days of contrast usage in scans, which is the third common cause of ARF inside the hospital.
