A 29-year-old woman reported to the hospital with a complaint of a growing mass in her left breast. History She first noticed the mass 2 years ago which has since increased in size. It had also become more erythematous and tender. She has no other medical history. She had a Cesarean section twice. Examination Her vitals were within normal limits. There was a lump at the upper inner quadrant of the left breast.
Some erythema and inflammation were surrounding it. There was some skin retraction in the affected area. Diagnostic tests Ultrasound revealed a constant, ill-defined, hypoechoic mass subdermally spanning more than 4 × 1.4 cm. Many deeper masses were seen, one of which was not located out of the breast measuring 12.3 × 8.5 mm. Axillary nodes were insignificant and not well appreciated on imaging.
