A 47-year-old woman presented with the chief complaint of pain in her lower abdomen. She had a history of frequent urination and vaginal bleeding since the last 7 years and dyspnea and palpitation since the last 2 years. The woman, gravida 0 had been diagnosed with a lower abdominal tumor 5 years ago. Physical examination revealed a large abdominal tumor with uterine fundus 3 cm above the umbilicus. Vaginal examination revealed a dark purple and friable mass. Pale palpebral conjunctivae Lab results showed a hemoglobin of 3.5g/dL and hematocrit 15.3%.
Transvaginal ultrasound revealed a pelvic tumor centered on the uterine body. Abdominal CT showed a well circumscribed, pedunculated, low density tumor in the vagina and uterine lumen.
