Globally, aortic stenosis (AS) is the utmost common heart valve disease ranging from 2-4% in patients older than 75 years of age. In the past decades, numerous patients were not referred for surgery due to high surgical risk, mainly owing to advanced age, LV impairment, and concomitant comorbidities. Therefore, there is a need for recent and current advances addressing AS over the last few years and the way it has changed the management of the disease itself.
