A 16-year-old girl presented to the emergency department (ED) with complaints of severe abdominal pain . She stated that the pain started immediately after a " bear hug from a friend ”, a couple of hours before arriving at the ED. She described the pain as sharp , constant , and most intense in the right upper quadrant , which subsequently spread to her right shoulder . The patient had two dogs in her house.
