Health department huddles and issue an alert in Kolkata. First swine flu case has been reported in this year. All health officials and hospitals are asked to look out for swine flu symptoms and to take precautionary measures across the city.

Swine flu is an airborne infection which spreads fast and easily in crowded places like school, colleges and public places. In 2009 Kolkata had 130 swine flu cases and this is a major outbreak around the country. More than 10 cases were reported in 2015 and last year more than 100 cases were reported from Bengal.
