A patient presented with chronic otitis externa with the history of frequent itching sensation and dry ear. On examination, the ear was filled with dry flaky skin, in the external auditory canal. The condition subsides with the use of steroid drops but reoccurs after 7 days of stopping the steroids.

What could be the diagnosis and what is the further line of management?
