A pediatrician working at the Orissa on Wednesday was allegedly kidnapped by kin of a baby who had died on Tuesday allegedly due to an administration of a wrong injection at the hospital. The abducted doctor, was later rescued by police from bypass road in Khurdha district. The relatives of the victim toddler reportedly abducted the pediatrician from his official residence at the hospital premises. As per reports, the ailing child had been admitted to the pediatric department on Tuesday.
The doctor, who was on duty examined the child at around 1.30 pm and administered the injection following which the baby died. Relatives of the child accused the doctor of administering the child a wrong injection.
