Treatment with modern medicine and Ayurveda will be now possible under one roof. The Centre for Integrative Medicine and Research was inaugurated recently in the AIIMS, New Delhi by the health minister. The centre will focus at doing rigorous research to compare alternative forms of medicine and their effects on health as compared to modern medicine. The centre will seek hard scientific evidence to understand safety and efficacy of alternative therapy drugs and yoga.
Doctors from modern medicine and alternative medicine fields do not see eye to eye. This is done to change with different streams of medicine being integrated under one umbrella at the centre.
